2017 Mason District Little League Hit-a-thon

Gather your friends, family and coworkers, and join us for some long ball!!

Mason District Little League’s (MDLL) continued success over the years has been due in large part to the generosity of its volunteers and strong fundraising initiatives.

MDLL is holding our 4th Annual Hit-a-thon this year and is our primary fundraising event.  The Hit-a-thon allows the league to improve each year. In addition to improving the equipment and fields, funds from the Hit-a-thon allows us to provide scholarships to needy players and to conduct players’ and coaches’ clinics.

The 2017 Hit-a-thon is escheduled for May 10th & 12th. The Hit-a-thon is similar to a walk-a-thon. Each player solicits sponsors who pledge to make a tax-deductible donation to MDLL. Pledges can be based either on the total distance a player attains or a flat donation. Each player has the opportunity to hit the ball ten times. The total distance of the six longest hits counts towards the player’s score.  This will be great fun for the kids and one of the highlights of their year.

The Hit-a-thon will conclude in June with the MDLL Celebration Day, including the 4th Annual Coaches Challenge.  This event will include a Home Run Derby, recognize the top hit-a-thon hitters and fundraisers, as well as the 2017 team champions, all-star players, and graduating little leaguers.   Prizes will be distributed.  The annual Coaches Challenge Softball Game will feature our hard-working MDLL coaches.  Roles will be reversed as MDLL coaches take on parents and alumni.

Our Fundraising Goal is $18,000.  We need everyone’s participation to make the Hit-a-thon successful.   You can find details and related documents on this site, including the ability to track donations and accept secure electronic payments.
